KEILOR PARK
Brewers Club Newsletter – Winter 2010
Hello Brewers
Welcome to our Winter Newsletter. The days maybe getting shorter and colder but there is still plenty going on at your favourite Brewery!
As some of our extended Brewing Family may be aware Patrick and Carol Ryan have retired from the business to do some travelling (which we are all sure will include the odd game of golf for Pat!). We will miss Patrick’s dry sense of humour and Carol trying to keep him in line. This provided many laughs over the last two years!!! We wish them all the best and Patrick has assured us that he will be dropping in from time to time to check up on us all!
Kegerator Sale
Our massive Kegerator sale must finish soon and can only run for another couple of weeks!
Live like a King and have beer on tap at home - A series 3 Kegerator for $899.00 - it does not get better than that!
The offer closes 30 June 2010 when the price will revert to $1,100. The tap a fridge gear has also been reduced to 30 June – check this out in store.
Wintry Brew Day
Our next Brewer's day is on Saturday July 24th from 1.00PM
We will have a selection of lovely wintry beers to taste - yummy.
There will also be snaggers and brewing specials on the day - mark it into the diary NOW!
Another Partnership
We are happy to announce a great new partnership between U-Brew It and the Sunshine Kangaroos Footy Club.
You can pop down to watch the Sunshine Kangaroos and enjoy a Brew from the U-Brew It Brewery. Get on down and meet some lovely folks at a champion club who are having a very successful year - Go the Roos!
Legends Board
I would like to congratulate our leading brewer Leigh Rayner on cracking the 50 brew mark.
What a legend, I think he is holding up the Eastern suburbs on his own. At our next brewer's night Leigh will be holding a seminar and covering such topics as:
- How I got to the magic 50,
- 50 Brews where has all the beer gone?
- The beauty in holding up your glass and looking at those bubbles,
- My favourite brews and my favourite wives.
Make sure you get your tickets early as they will sell out quick. We also now have another 21 brewers who have hit the magic free brew 20 mark well done to you all. Oh by the way if you are not on the Legends board – why not?
Beer facts
Konishiki, reputed to be the worlds largest sumo wrestler at 625 pounds, once consumed 100 glasses of beer and 70 pieces of sushi at one sitting.
The Brits in 1996 brewed a beer made from a recipe gleaned from the walls of the tomb of Egyptian boy king Tutankhamen and sold the first bottle at auction for $7,200-the highest price ever paid for a bottle of beer.
